Sailwave version 1.47 Beta 7

Sailwave version 1.47 Beta 7 is available from the download page of
www.sailwave.com. Summary of changes below. I would like to consolidate
this into the release of 1.47 (given the buglets in the 1.46 release) so any
feedback gratefully received.

* Fix buglet in qualification profile stuff as per George's example.

* Populate Test button next to qualification profile.

* Force Points resolution to 1 place if it's 0 and Rinderle B is selected.
Allow > 1 at user's description.

* Fix reading rating files when there are dodggy characters in the data.

* Allow Unix style (end of line char =
LineFeed<http://sailwave.com/wakka/wakka.php?wakka=LineFeed/edit>) rating
files to be used.

* Fix bug in SailNo<http://sailwave.com/wakka/wakka.php?wakka=SailNo/edit>
wizard whereby it was not promting with the next likely position!

* Add FFV rating system.

* Extend race data CSV import to optionally create competitors on the fly if
they don't already exist (for Prolog). Tested superficially. Please test
before RIOW!

* Allow the rating field to be a valid field during race data import (for
Prolog). Tested superficially. Please test before RIOW!

* Add wind indexed AB values (for MBBC). Tested superficially. Needs better
testing.

* Add Rinderle B high point scoring (for GMORA).

* Make enabling/disabling much better/clearer in
Edit+ScoringSystem<http://sailwave.com/wakka/wakka.php?wakka=ScoringSystem/e

.

Thanks Colin !

SailNo wizard is WORKING ! This is "the most important function" in sailwave, and I've been missing it !

Now, when I get over 100 Europe and 29ers racing, I can present very fast Result Service !

Hi Martin,

The SailNo wizard had another problem as well in that it wouldn't let you
enter elapsed times or start/finish times for one-design fleets. This is
often needed when one-design and handicap fleets race together; Sailwave
just ranking by elapsed time for the one-designs when scoring.

I don't use the SailNo wizard much myself, so let me know (everybody) how it
can be improved; as you say, it's a very important part of Sailwave and it's
essential that it allows the results to be entered quickly. If there can be
key-strokes to be saved, I'll tweak it. Or perhaps the SailNo needs to be
in a bigger font etc etc.

The SailNo wizard was initially written on Friday night, which perhaps
explains some of the problems we've been having with it...

Regards,
Colin

Just tested it for short. Will test more later, and report back !

Just a little one : When entering a list, there will be some codes now and then (like DNC, DNS, DNF). I tried that too, and first time it looked to me that when going back to enter positions; Sailwave "suggested" no.5 again (the same as the last before starting entering codes). But when I continued, it worked OK ! So, is there any special thing the first time you change from positions to codes, and back again ?? Well, I'll try it again and report !

The little thing : Instead of selecting codes, I'm entering codes (it's faster). Then the codes appeares in lower case. I want codes in upper case ! Colin : I can live with the "problem" !

Expect me to be 3 weeks off the list from today! If you wonder how the weather is on the south coast of Norway, take a look at http://grimstad.seilforening.no !
