Requests / suggestions:
1. when columns are renamed, the new names are used in the 'New' and
'New Like' competitor forms
2. when publishing there is an option to show the race specific
rating in the individual race results - at the moment this can be
done only in conjunction with the initial rating displayed in the
series summary table....
Otherwise looks good

Hi Mike,
I've been thining of doing 1. for a while - it would ne a nice touch and
I'll pencil it in now that there is a hard request.
Can you explain 2. a bit more, each race table should use the race specific
rating in its rating column (unless its broken).
Regards,
Colin

Yes, 1) would be very nice (can't think why I haven't asked before), as we tend to change fields a lot for Open Meetings, which is where other people get exposed to Sailwave as they enter competitors. Sadly some of them aren't good at mental transposition of field names, so get upset and call your excellent software all sorts of rude names :-[
As for 2), if I want the individual race results to show the actual handicap used (which they do) then I need the rating column displayed when I publish, which means that a rating (the one at the start of the series) is shown in the summary table (it would make more sense for this to be the 'current' rating) which is a bit confusing / misleading as the actual rating towards the end of a series might be quite different to the initial one. Clearer?
Thanks
Mike
PS: I see that v1.76 will no longer fit on a floppy disc , sign of the times I suppose! (No, it's not a problem for me )

I have a feeling that's not uncommon at the moment
(Interestingly this is a really easy tweak to do and I'm not sure why I
haven't actually done it before either).

I think so. You would like the rating column associated with the series
summary so show that last used rating rather than the default.

Colin

"You would like the rating column associated with the series
summary so show that last used rating rather than the default."
What I'd actually like is the ability to publish the rating in the individual race result table, but not in the summary (a tick box similar to that for BCE etc.?). Having the rating column associated with the series summary show the last used rating, rather than the default, would seem sensible, too, when used.
Thanks again
Mike
