Sailwave version 1.77 is available.

Notes:-

� This build is mainly a series of fixes. Martin, Terry, your fixes not
done yet but please see the dev plan.

� Being able to nominate a scoring system as the default to inherit from and
having one called "My Appendix A" was causing mass confusion. I've changed
things so that scoring systems inherit from a special scoring system that is
always present called "series defaults". "Series defaults" is not used to
actually score; it's there to inherit from. The upgrade will change any "My
Appendix A" names to "Score everybody as one group". You can of course
rename things as you like (except for "Series defaults") - "Score everybody
as one group" may not make sense if you've been using recent versions, but
it will when users upgrade from 1.57...

Colin,

Just testing Sailwave v.177 and seem to have found a couple of problems.

Problem 1
I have a series with 2 races sailed so far and I have added two more for the
next race day. I then right clicked in Race 1 and entered in copy starts to
race box the race numbers 3-4. Nothing happens, am I doing the actions
correctly?

Problem 2
I also notice that if I right click in Race 3 say and select edit race I
cannot copy start information from a previous race as I was able to do in a
version prior to 1.76. I have not tried earlier versions yet to find where
the change occurred only needed to use the functionality again with setting
up the new series.

I see Mumble shave now run a long distance cat race, so it suggests the
problems where sorted out.

Colin,

Just found another possible problem.

I have just scored the series and the red message bar has appeared stating
that a competitor is not in a start for race 3 (click for more information)
I do so and follow the instructions to show the starts that the competitors
are associated with and yes the competitor referenced in the red warning bar
is not associated with a a start in race 3 as per message. However no
competitors in that start group started the race, therefore I believe the
race did not take place for this start group and the message is incorrect in
this circumstance.

I hope this is not to big a coding problem to get round.

Colin,

Ignore my last message regarding red error. My fault there was a competitor
in the race 3 referred to and the message went away when I added the start
information for that boat. However the message did not refer to the one boat
that did race in the start but another in the start group that did not race.

Sorry to have been to quick in sending an email :frowning:

I can't make it fail here; are you sure you clicked the "Copy starts to
these races" button after entering "3-4"?

Colin,

Don't know what has gone on but it is now working, since I have shut down
and restarted Sailwave. I noticed when I shut down some message fly up but
was not thinking and did not record it.

A lesson learnt, try shutting down and restarting to see if problem still
exists.
