I don't know whether this is a Windows OS problem ( I use a Mac) or something which
can be written into the program but there needs to be a method of preventing the
same file being opened twice.
We've just had a situation where one file was open and in use but hidden behind
another open series file, the operator didn't realsie that file A was open so opened it
again and input the afternoons racing , saving as they went, this file was then closed
and then the second version closed and saved causing a windows error and loss of all
data in the file.
it would be very useful to get an error message if an attempt is made to open a
second copy of a file as it is very easy for whoever is inputting to make this mistake.
