I have an instance whereby the same Helm, Same Class different Crew is appearing as two entries with a tied Rank, Is this the only way Sailwave can handle these instances as the crewnames are different, no way to contatonate the Crewname into one line ?
Just use the crew name field/column and put a second name in the
box. I usually separate the names with a ‘/’. However if you are
seeing two entries for the same Sail Number then you will need to
delete one of them, to have only one show in the results.
For example:
in Helm Name box = My Name
in Crew Name box = Crew 1 / Crew 2
An image of what you are seeing and/or a copy of your Sailwave
file would help my understanding.

My Race Management system loads the results into the blw file as 2 seperate entries as different results were gained on different days with different crews, same Helm Same Class.
I have asked the club concerned if it is an issue being displayed in this manner, I was just exploring some options.
I may be able to Co Join the crews into the same competitor entry ( All data is loaded externally into the blw file which my system regenerates each time after a race is completed )
There is also another area of possible difficulty and this is
most common with Laser sailors I have found, in that they have a
Laser Standard sail and a Laser Radial sail, both with same sail
number, and they will change sail depending on wind conditions.
This means if considered same competitor and only one entry in
Sailwave file the rating should be changed for the races where
Laser Radial sail is used. How does your system deal with this or
is manual intervention required?
