I'm just starting with this great software, so I apologize in
advance for my inexperience.
According to the Race Instructions each boat will receive the score
points by subtracting the finish place from 501
so 1st, 2nd, 3rd will receive 500, 499, 498 respectively
Then I use a custom formula in the Race Scoring Window:
501-p.
For the DNF, DNS, OCS, DNC and DSQ the instructions states that they
will receive score points by subtracting 501 the number of max
entries in any one race + 1
So for the DNF etc, I've choose the 6th option
(the max number of boats that came to the start area in any one race
+ N)
and put 1 as value.
In the biggest race we have 128 entries. (The 6th race "Zárate - San
Isidro")
So 128 + 1 = 129
then 501-129 = 372
The program is scoring 373 for these codes.
If I choose a "Custom High point" of 500 in the Race Scoring Window I
get the same results for the finishing points and for the codes.
What am I doing wrong?
Any help will be much appreciated.
Thank you in advance and sorry for my English.

I think it's a Sailwave problem not you! I'll look into it.
To get what you want, put the race scoring back to the 501-p formula and use
a value of 2 for the DNF code. Then you get what you want (DNF=372) - but I
don't know why it's not working with a value of 1... Needs fixing I think,
ot we're both missing something.

I have just taken a look at your file and by putting in +2 instead of +1, I get 372 which is the figure I you think it should be. Not sure why this is happening, if I can work it out I will let you know unless Colin gets in first.
FYI - when I have been doing high point scoring I have found it safest to hard code the values I want for DNF, OOD, DNC etc. I know it is not helpful in your case where you want Sailwave to determine as you enter race results the points value.
