Scoring by Class Using Sail number Wizard

I have a series that has boats with the same sail numbers but they are identified as in different Classes.

I have set up the Race with a specific start time and that only one of the Classes is to be used in the start,

When using the Sail Wizard ir still gives me a selection choice of both boats with the same sail number although they are in different Classes, is this the correct operation of the wizard please?

Thanks

John

Hi John - That is correct because Sailwave allows you to have multiple starts finishing at the same time - so all boats in the series will be listed.
just use the down arrow and to select the one you wish to use and then hit enter

OK, THanks

There is a “resolve ambiguity” field that could be a bit more useful if it persisted from one entry to the next perhaps…?

Colin,

I noted that but could not figure out how to use it…

As per my previous email, You either just click on it, or use the down arrow and then enter.

It searches all competitors fields for a match, so if you enter a class it’ll match the class name which is likely ish to be unique, however it has limited usefulness because it is not persistent - you have to enter it each time you enter a new sailno. It would be an easy tweak to make it persistent if ppl thought it would be useful.
