Hi Colin any chance of an explanation of the Scoring codes e.g. what does ZFP stand for also what result codes would you use e.g.: Did not finish (DNF) we use no of starters in a race + 1 or where can I get them.
Thanks Chris

This is covered in Appendix A of the Racing Rules of Sailing.
ZFP denotes a 20% penalty under Rule 30.2

Further to Peter’s message, another reference for an explanation of scoring codes is the guidance to RRS 2001-2004 Appendix A as supplied by the RYA/USSA. There is a link to this document on the sailwave web site Links page. Essential reading for anybody scoring a series IMO.
Sailwave has two buttons to set up a series for Appendix A “long” and “short” series codes (Edit+ScoringSystem+ScoringCodesTab). You can however invent your own code sets. I tend to add more codes “methods” as it becomes apparent that they are required. I’ve recently added stuff to allow users to define exactly how codes are presented in the points table, e.g. DNF, 99, DNF(99), 99(DNF), 99DNF, 99F etc etc. Definable on a per code basis.
Regards,
Colin
