Scoring DNF over a series

Hello,

I am brand new to Sailwave, but so far I love it!

Under the Scoring Rule:

For a series that is held over a period of time longer than a
regatta, a boat that came to the starting area but did not start, did
not finish, retired after finishing or was disqualified shall be
scored points for the finishing place one more than the number of
boats that came to the starting area. A boat that did not come to the
starting area shall be scored points for the finishing place one more
than the number of boats entered in the series.

When I enter a DNF it gives me the score of 1 postion more than the
boats registered. In our series, held over 4 weeks, it is common to
have less boats out on an individual night.

In my example, a DNF occurred when 3 boats came out in a registered
fleet of 10. How do I give the DNF boat a 4th position? When I enter
4 there is a message that the fleet is scored by time and if DNF is
entered the boat gets an 11th place.

Any help would be appreciated.

Go to the Edit Scoring System | Scoring Codes and set DNF to Racers + 1
instead of Series entrants +1.

Under the scoring system option is a button that sets the default for long
