For this situation assume that the series is over a two day period, so Rule A9 does not apply,
Not sure if this is just me or something has changed, but 6 boats entered into a series and on one race one boat was OCS,
Rule A4.2 says:-
A boat that did not start, did not finish, retired or was disqualified
shall be scored points for the finishing place one more than the
number of boats entered in the series. A boat that is penalized under
rule 30.2 or that takes a penalty under rule 44.3(a) shall be scored
points as provided in rule 44.3©.
This year i have noted that Sailwave appears to score OCS as Number of boats, Not Number of boats +1 as it was doing last year. Within my set up and i do not believe is have changed anything in this regard but OCS is Scored the same as DNF, and if i insert the DNF code it appears work OK, but OCS does not. If i change OCS to number of boats in series +1 then it works fine…
So what has changed?
thanks

Hi John,
I have just created a new series and then looked at scoring codes
and I find that OCS is set to score like DNF, where DNF equal to
number of entries +1. When I score the series the single boat
entered gets 2 pints which is what I would expect.
So do not know what has happened in your case sorry.
This on my Windows 10 PC with Sailwave v2-28-1.
Kind regards,
Huw

Hello Huw,
Hmmmm… i get the same result on both my systems, one uses Crossover and the other is the full blown Parallels virtual machine and i am on v2.28.1
I just did the same as you and got the correct result also.
So looks as if something corrupted in at least one file, I will try and compare the Scoring system configuration
Thx
JohnW
Huw,
I am not sure what i did to corrupt the scoring Method, but it would seem likely that at some point i must have overlooked the fact that i had to insert a number in the Val field, as i realised earlier that when you change the Method Sailwave automatically zeros out the Val field.
But thanks for the help
