Colin, colleagues,
I ran into trouble today:
Four boats in my fleets got the wrong instruction and started in the
wrong fleet. After an initial DNS, the jury decided to award them
redress for this race.
I manually set their score to RDGa with 16 points (noted as RDGa(16),
and indeed they end up with the intended 16 points, BUT the first
boat in this race receives 5 points instead of 1 (the difference
being the number of boats with ANY RDG code).
Am I doing something wrong?
I'm in a bit of a hurry: I need to finalise the scores by Friday June
5th 12 UTC.
Any suggestions? BTW: I'm using v1.55 but problem is reproducible
with this .blw file in at least 4 lower versions.

Hi Jeroen,
The SUG eats attachments - can you send the series to colin@sailwave.com,
ta.
One thing to remember is that if you don't want other boats moved you must
put a finishing time or position in the RDG boat's result. But presumably
in this case there is no such result, because they were on a different
course... I don't understand the 5pts for the 1st boat at all!!
Regards,
Colin

Hi Colin,
Problem seems to be licked: the the boats that were to receive
redress did in fact have recorded results which would put them on the
top of the list, after rating.
I've added one hour to their recorded results, effectively putting
them further down the list. Then with RDGa, they fell onto their
correct position.
So far, everything looks OK.

Hi Jerone,
Glad to hear that. However, you can (should) remove the recorded results
for redress boats that were DNF,OCS,DNS (etc) (as per your case) and then
got redress. The inclusion of a recorded result means that the boat
finished and then received redress - the other boats must not be moved in
that case, hence the necessity for a recorded result as well as the redress
code.
See also the FAQ
http://www.sailwave.com/index.php?page=faq#f5
This comes up a lot - I think I need to change the UI to have a separate
redress and penalty section to record the *extra* redress/penalty codes. N
off them.

Colin J
