The Itchenor Sailing Club Swallow Class has about 100 races for the
Swallow Trophy each season. All these races also count towards other
shorter series varying from 3 to 12 races. Is it possible to handle
this without duplicated data entry. Other Itchenor keelboat classes
have a similar requirement.
Jim,
The answer to your question is unfortunately no at the present time. However, it is on the development list.
Kind regards,
Huw

We have the same problem. The easiest way to do this is to enter all races on to 1 master score sheet. Then copy the whole sheet and on the copy eliminate races and/or competitors who are not part of that series. It doesn’t take very long, and if you make a mistake the quickest way out is to start all over again.
The scorer does have to be very aware of the details of each particular series.

I’m not sure if I understands the problem…
If it is that you have several short series that you want to combine into one long series, I do the following:
-
Make one SW series for each of the short ones.
-
When each short “short series” is finished, I merge with the long series.
This works quite good, as the short series has mostly the same settings (rules & discards) and then I can set the rules/codes and discards for the long serie and just merge in the results and new competitors.
I think this is the way it will give me the best overwiev, anyway…
Regards,
Martin

Use a master series for the Swallow Trophy then make a copy and delete
all irrelevant races for each of the minor series?
