I can’t seem to figure this out, but is there a way to score the same boat in different groups. For example, I have a group of Hobie 16 scored together, but want to also show how the other multihulls match up when grouped with that division. I’d like to show both in one set of results. Am I dreaming?
Hi
Yes the functionality you will need is Aliases. You need to turn
this on by going to Setup menu and selecting User Interface then
clicking box alongside Competitor aliasing.
You will then need to create aliases for each competitor and then
set their fleet name appropriately.
Kind regards,

Hi
I think you kan solve them by using Fleet and Divisions:
Fleets could be : Hobie 16, Hobie 18, Dart, Finn, OK, Laser etc.
Division could be: Multihulls and Monohulls,
You can then decide to score Multihuls after Texel and Monohulls after Yardstick or whatever.

Hi
How you approach this depends on how the NoR & SI's are
written and depends if different rating systems are used for
different ‘groups’ when scored individually or they use same
rating system.
From the little information you have supplied I suggest you look
at the functionality of Aliases. You need to turn this on by
going to Setup menu and selecting User Interface then clicking box
alongside Competitor aliasing.
You will then need to create aliases for each competitor and then
set their fleet name appropriately.
So for example you could have Hobie 16 fleet, Non-Hobie fleet [i.e .
all other multi-hulls] and Multihull [all multi-hulls]. The
Multihull fleet would be aliases of the Hobie16 and other
multihull boats. You would only have to enter finish time data
once for each boat as Sailwave will automatically copy it from the
‘primary record’ for a boat to the alias record. Note - you can
have multiple aliases for a boat and each can have a different
rating and be scored using a different rating system.
Using aliases is a way of comparing results based on different
rating systems; so in your club you could see what difference for
the multi-hulls using Texel, SCHRS, RYA PY or any other rating
system makes!
Hope you find this useful.

Huw
