I hope some of you could offer some advice. Our club is due to host an event at the end of the month and I have been asked a question about sailwave about scoring in the event of a tie that I am unable to find an answer for.
The SI's state: "Series/Event tie - If, after discard(s), two or more boats have the same points total the tie will be broken in accordance with RRS Appendix A8.1. If there is still a tie this will be broken in favour of the boat with the best excluded result. This changes RRS A8. If a tie still exists then the tie will be broken in accordance with RRS Appendix A8.2. For the purpose of this rule the last race will be taken to mean the last race actually completed on the water"
So, sailwave, in my experience, is set to score A8.1 and then A8.2 as a default. I can untick the A8.2 box easily enough, but how do I override it to settle the tie in the favour of the boat with the highest excluded result? Is it a simple thing to do? Am I missing something obvious?

This will cause more options to be shown in the series ties window -
one of these should be what you are looking for.

Thanks that’s great but I assume sailwave applies the three different options in the order shown on the series scoring tab, i.e. A 8.1, A 8.2 and then finally B 8.8, but I think the SI’s for our event require the tie breakers to be applied in the order of A 8.1, B 8.8 and finally A 8.2. I can untick the A8.2 to allow sailwave to go on to use B 8.8, but is it possible to achieve the different order in full?

I see B8.8 is a special arrangement for windsurfers, bringing in a
new sequence (A8.1 and A8.2 deselected) - you had better read that
to see how it fits in with your SI. Doesn’t look quite the same to
me.
