Hi everybody, my first post here.
I´m trying to score ORC races with TOD options, but I cant do it.
I think its possible, I have looked “scoring system” and I have found lots of systems (RYA NHC, PHRF, RORC, ECHO…) but I couldnt find “ORC”.
I have tried to import a .CSV file downloaded from orc.org, but I couldnt do it.

Firstly welcome to Sailwave.
On the ratings tab there is a custom option and you can enter a
custom formula here if none of the built-in options meet your
needs. However, having looked at the ORC web site the ToD formula
is
Time On Distance
Corrected
time is calculated as follows:
Corrected time = Elapsed
time – (ToD * Distance)
Which I believe is the same as the PHRF
ToD option in Sailwave.
The names on the rating systems in Sailwave do quite often not
seem to be what one might be looking for. If you place the mouse
cursor over the various rating options a tool tip appears, for a
few seconds, which show the equation used for that rating system
option.
Regarding import of CSV file from ORC, if it is one of the files
from this page it is not
something Sailwave will import automatically or without some help
in determining what you want importing and to where. The CSV files
from ORC contain a great deal of information that is not relevant
to Sailwave. There is information in the ORC CSV file that is
appropriate to Sailwave and can be imported with guidance during
the ‘Import competitors from CSV’ option of the file menu. Perhaps
you could let me know what information in the ORC CSV file you
need importing? I will then be in a position to better advise how
to do it. Also would be good to know which ORC CSV file you have
downloaded.

The scoring formula for ORC ToD is identical to that for PHRF. You could
use that and explain what you did.
Or, under Scoring System|Rating System you could write a Custom formula
(fill out all 3):
c = e-(r*d)
e = c+(r*d)
r = (e-c)/d
[The parentheses and asterisks aren't always necessary but they make it
easier to read and understand the formula so I'd recommend using them.]
I'm not sure that there is an option to name your Custom rating system
but you'll want to experiment around with what your published results
look like and perhaps put the name of the scoring (ORC ToD) into one of
the titles.
