Scoring when granted a redress

Hi, we have ahad a redress granted where boats in question received
average point for a specific race. How do I enter this result without
changing the results of the othe competitors? ( i.e. Boat in question
receives average points, but due to this no other boat loses any points
in that race). Can anybody help?

Hi,

Use scoring codes RDG, RDGa or RDGb depending on what redress
was actually given.

If the redress given

was the average of all scores in the series then use RDGa

was a set number of points use RDG, i.e. set points by hand

was average of all races before the race in question use RDGb

when the redress given is based on time, i.e. the boat was given a
specific finish time, how would I enter that? Without affecting the
others?

I reckon you would have to (manually) calculate a corrected time based on that boats handicap, then see what position that would give, then enter that position as RDG.

Your note is note clear as to which results are included in the average. All races in the series, that is races that occurred both before and after the race in question, the most common redress award (scoring code RDGa), or just the average of those that occurred before the race in question, a less common redress award (scoring code RDGb).

Assuming it to be the average of all races use the RDGa scoring code.

Click on the result cell you want to change and select “Edit result…”

Check the “Code” radio button and select RDGa. (Average points for all races)
