Colin:
Thank you for the fast response.
I seem to be missing something. Please help me to understand
what you are trying to accomplish.
I need scoring software that will score races when I have
multiple fleets under various handicap systems or One Design
I have PHRF 1-5, Whitesail, IRC 1 & 2, J 35, J 105, 8 Metre and
C&C 34.
Under previous versions, I had a so so method of entering the start
times but I got a realy good looking printout of results for each
race and or the Series.
Now I have much easier start time entry, but I have lost the great
printouts. Is it still possible to get a printout like I had before?
I have tried various combinations but I can not produce a printout
like I had in earlier versions. I do not want to sort by the
skippers last name or the type of boat, I want to score by what I
call Fleet, a group of boats with fairly similar ratings that start
together or a group of one design boats such as J 35's. I seem to
have lost the ability to do this. Is this an unusual way of scoring
a race or series?

Hi John,
I think you have to put every "boat" in a fleet. In Sweden we very
often use LYS-handicap system. Every boat has a certain value. I put
for an example all boats with less than 1.06 in one fleet and 1.06
and greater in another fleet. After filling in all the results
(time) I score by the field fleet. Works for me..

Hi John,
When you publish the results (having scored by fleet) choose to group by
fleet and select separate tables - it will be as before exacept that each
fleet is in it's own table now. Start information
will be added before 1.58 is released. See this example using your data:-
http://results.sailwave.com/johnc.htm
The only change has been to separate fleets into their own tables and
temporarily dump some of the start information form the race table
annotation.
