Hi SUG Members,

It has been drawn to my attention that the links to event and venue websites that include https:// or http:// at the beginning of the string do not work once the results are published. Although the text string that is seen at the foot of the results appears completely correct the actual link used is not correct as it is missing a colon after the http or https.

The text strings entered in the event and/or venue website boxes must not include http:// or https:// if the links are to work correctly when a visitor clicks on them.

Huw is correct the websites should be entered without http:// or https://
The text you enter is used for display and for creating the URL
If you really want to enter the http:// or https:// you would have to edit the Footer.txt file as this already has http:// included in it for the URL. But if you do edit the footer.txt to remove the http:// then you must always supply it in the event of venue websites
