Fifteen races conducted by multiple clubs in our area are combined in a “Distance Series” for awards (total ~100 boats; multiple classes PHRF, cruiser and ORC). As they participate in these races over the season, results collected (which could be imported into Sailwave). In scoring see the throwout adjustment but to qualify for award, boat must sail in x of 15 races to qualify for award.
Is there feature/workaround possible in Sailwave to set qualification criteria (by class), throwouts then score?

Yes Sailwave supports a Qualification Profile
You just need to enable it in the Setup -User Interface
Then you can specify in a similar way as the discard profile
By using the Fleets settings you can also have different qualification and discard profiles based on the Fleet/Class

Jon, awesome. Per Userguide page 119 say would set up per guidance for discard. In our case (as example), there is no qualification until the boat has sailed 6 of planned 13 races. So would that qualification profile then appear: 0,0,0,0,0,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1 or once qualified does it adopt the discard profile.

If a boat does not qualify it will get a ranking of DNQ and be placed after all the boats that qualified
so all you would need is 0,0,0,0,0,1
You don’t need to specify anything after the last 1
The discard profile will be used as normal
You can use this button to test your qualification profile
