Series template possible??

Hi,
I am new to Sailwave, we started using it for our recent Junior Regatta and
found it excellent, and I am now converting results information from Excel
to put on our website.
I find it a bit frustrating that every time I open a new series I have to
carry out a lot of procedures to produce the format I want, such as the
columns used, the scoring system (we use DNF = 1 more than number of
starters, rather than number in series) etc.
Is there any way to set up a Preferred style or template, and then use that
for each new series?
Thanks
Leigh Baxter

How about simply creating a blank series in the preferred format, then
opening it and "saving as..." each time you want to set up a new series?

Hi Leigh,

Nothing specific. Hugh's suggestion is what I do - have a folder with my
own templates and open one and save-as as appropriate.

Hugh,
Thanks for amazingly fast response!! I had not thought of that, it is like
saving a empty Word document with say just a letter heading, but not using
the Template facility. I will try it out, I guess it should work OK.
Thanks again
Leigh

It can be useful to populate competitors as well in some cases. For
example, say you regularly have an open meething for the X class - you can
create a template comtaining all the usual sailors. Ditto club racing.

Thanks all for your fast and immediate responses. I have tried out the basic
suggestion and that works just fine, further refinements are no doubt
possible.
