Series vs championship

I´m new to sailwave but I find it just fantastic , as a former St Pete software race Officer user, specially for its finish time and handicap corrected time capabilities.
In the club I work for, regattas are run once a month, so we have 12 regattas per year.
Each regatta consists of 3 or 4 races, and , as I stated before, Sailwave is fantastic in calculating and publishing the results, that is in determining which boat was the winner, which got the 2nd place, which the third, etc.
To achieve this, I just create a new series for each month regatta, enter the data of each race (3 or 4 races) and sailwave do the work.
My question is if there´s a way to calculate the winner (and subsequent places) of the year championship, adding the position of each boat in the 12 regattas , so that the boat with the smaller sum is the winner of the year championship. Of course this is a very simple task using excel, in wich you enter the results of the 10 regattas, but maybe sailwave has a way to do it automatically.

Thank you for the help I could get !

Hi Andres,
Firstly welcome to the Saulwave User Group.

The short answer to your question is yes, but not quite automatically.

Keep doing what you are doing a new Sailwave series for each individual regatta.

Create a Sailwave file for your year long championship. Then after each month regatta use the Merge option on the file menu and use the appropriate options. If you want more information then come back.

Ok Huw ! thank you very much for your answer. Best regards !

It would be convenient if one could import just the sub series ranking into a “race” of the year series.

Hi Malcolm,

Do you mean a specified race in the year series? Because you can already merge in the sub-series rank as a race in the year series. It will add as a new race but you can if needed use the move race left or move race right from the Edit menu.

Huw,

Thanks - that should do it.
