set up in Sailwave for Average Lap Handicap Racing

Hi there
We run a race on Wednesday evenings where we calculate the results based on the average lap handicap timing. We have set up the series as Fleet=Handicap, should it be set up differently? It applies the handicap to the elapsed time but doesn't then adjust for the number of laps

It will adjust for number of laps if when you enter the elapsed time or finish time you also enter the number of laps that particular boat has completed.

My club uses Sailwave for Average Lap handicap racing. When
you enter the results via the Sail Number Wizard, when you enter the finish
time (or elapsed), you put the number of laps competed for each competitor in
the box adjacent to that for the time. The rest should be automatic!

We also use Average Lap racing at RPCYC in Plymouth. Is there any way of applying the RYA “Same PN Adjustment” in Sailwave for when boats complete different numbers of laps?

Thanks - in scoring method we have put “handicap” and it has adjusted the total time based on their handicap and then ranked the competitors based on their total time and not divided by the number of laps. So the number of laps sailed (slower boats sometimes do 3 laps and faster boats do 4) has not impacted their ranking
