Setting up Sailwave for Rank Beginners

Hi

I am a member of the TSCQ in Brisbane. Previously our scoring amd
handicapping has been done with some cumbersome spreadsheeting. I did a
bit of web searching, found Sailwave and proposed it to the handicapper.

We (at least I) cannot seem to get the scoring system and handicap
working to generate the equivalent results.

Can anyone assist.

I do not see where you problem may lie.

I am using 1.95 build 1.

Before the series options button there is a set of colours, click on this and select handicap racing.

This then allows in scoring systems a handicap type to be selected.

Try reading the help files on the sailwave website this is a good starting point.

Make sure you select a rating system. Go to the tab in scoring
systems. Easliy missed.

I have selected a rating system. The question is which one.

There seem to me to be 2 things I cannot get happening.

Firstly is the points scoring. Our system is:
* 1 point awarded for starting
* 1 point awarded for finishing
* 1 point awarded for winning on corrected time
* 1 point awarded for each boat defeated on corrected time

The formula (s-p)+(p=1)+2 seems to work most but not all the time.

Secondly, I cannot get the ratings (personal handicaps) adjusting
correctly. Our system is:

After each race the handicaps shall be readjusted according to the
following table:
