Simple results import process

Hi,

I am completely new to SailWave. I expect these are pretty simple questions for experienced users to answer but after searching I can’t quite find the right solutions. The scenario, probably typical of many sailing clubs, is simply running a day’s racing, say, 3 races, and then using SailWave later to process the results off-site.

  1. If I have a csv file with only elapsed times exported by some sailing timer hardware, how do I import those into SailWave to match to sail numbers? The import race results seems to be asking for more data than just the finish times.

  2. What are the best fields to match to for this import?

Hi Andy - You would appear to have 2 options either add the Sail numbers to the csv file in which case its very easy to import the csv into Sailwave or use the Sail number wizard to enter the results. Which is the quickest will depend upon how many results you have to enter. If its only a few it may just be quicker to use the Sail number wizard.
