Singlehanded Enterprises

One of the regulars at our club mislaid his crew the other week and
sailed a couple of club fleet races solo in his Enterprise. Which was
fine by the rest of us. But how much of a time penalty should this
attract? Do other clubs have an established rule?

My proposal was to add a 60 seconds penalty in a 40 mins race for
singlehanded sailing in wind speeds below 10kts but an even rating
above that windspeed.

Any other suggestions out there?

If over a series we find it is swings and roundabouts so do not adjust,
however as a general rule we do not count such results for a series.
If you want it to count then your guess is probably as near as you you can
get, if a one off then give him/her average points,

By that logic shouldn't he have time deducted from his finish time in higher wind speeds, as he is at a disadvantage?

Hi,

We use 1098 (as opposed to 1116).

I had a feeling that this were official but it could have just been handed down.
