Southern Style

I normally use the Southern style for publishing results on websites, to give a bright product. The left hand columns have text black on yellow background.

However, in a recent set of results, where some helm names are linked to World Sailing id's, the text is white on yellow and is thus indistinct. Those not linked are normal.

Is there something I can amend in the style statements to change this?

Hi Malcom,
I see you have found a solution but I don’t know what you decided on. Other users may find this useful.

My suggestion would be to add this line to the Southern style

Such that the style then becomes

body {font-size: 8pt; font-family: verdana, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; text-align: center;}

.hardleft {text-align: left; float: left; margin: 15px 0 15px 25px;}

.hardright {text-align: right; float: right; margin: 15px 25px 15px 0;}

table {margin: 0px auto 30px auto; font-size: 1em; border-collapse: collapse; border: 3px #fff solid;}

td, th {padding: 3px; border: 3px #fff solid; vertical-align: top;}

.caption {color: navy; text-align: center; padding: 3px; font-weight: bold;}

h1 {font-size: 1.6em;}

h2 {font-size: 1.4em;}

h3 {font-size: 1.2em; color: #000066;}

p {text-align: center;}

th {background-color: #0055aa; color: #ffffff;}

a {color: #ffffff;}

a:link, a:visited {color: black;}

.contents {text-align: left; margin-left: 20%;}

table {text-align: right; background-color: #ffcc00;}

.rank {background-color: #ccccff;}

.race {background-color: #ffffcc;}

.natflag {border: 1px #999 solid;}

.nattext {font-size: 0.8em;}

.place1 {font-weight: bold; background-color: #ffffaa;}

.place2 {font-weight: bold; background-color: #aaaaff;}

.place3 {font-weight: bold; background-color: #ffaaaa;}

.placen {}

Jon,

I changed the line :
a {color: #ffffff;} to:

        a

{color: blue;}

    But, thank you, I will also try your suggestion.
