Just thought I would bring to your attention that I received the
following today.
"I like your posts to our sailwave group. Since we seem to share some
of the same interests, I want to add you as a friend in Grouply, where
you can see my profile with my pictures and my groups. Maybe you might
find some cool new groups to join."
I suggest anyone else receiving this sort of e-mail should delete it
immediately. For the moderators it ostensibly came from zactaylor023

Just some info found on the Web.
Grouply is an oficial, secured Web site, but is also stealing your password information for Yahoo, MSN and other services.
The "good" reason is to make your life easier, change all your personal info in just one operation on all these sites...
But your Email adresses and passwords are replaced on these sites, so you can no longer regain control on these info.
Even if they have good intentions, even if their security is high, just one hacker entering the system, and all your personal information is compromized on all sites...
Don't take such a risk!
Note : it you received the message "through" the group, it's evidence that personal info from another group member was used, and his personal mailbox on his computer was read using data saved on Grouply. This is piracy...
If you are on Grouply, best leave it and change all the passwords you have given...

Ian,
I received several messages like this one in the past.
They are NOT passing through the group, as you don't find them on the Group
Web pages.
Sadly it is quite easy to forge a fake identity (so the e-mail adress you
are giving is useless).
Even report as abuse to Yahoo! could lead to penalize the wrong person.
There could be interesting data in the message full header, like IP-adresses
but here too it's possible the headers are fake...
So for everyone, when an Email is clearly out of subject, just delete it
immediately.
