Splitting Ties in Flights

Being a river club we need to run races as flights when we have more than
about 15 boats. We apply standard A8.1 and A8.2 tie breaking. We have had
a request to apply A8.2 based on the last start in which the boats raced
against each other. I note that Sailwave version 1.94 build 28 has the
ability to do this (under scoring system - big events) but when I have
tested this by ticking the 'boats must be in the same start...' option it
doesn't seem to work. Does anybody have any experience of using this?

Rob,

It has been used for round-robin split-fleet (flight) events with success.

Attach your series to a reply to this message and we can take a look. Which
boats do you think should be tied (or not) in your example?

Regards,
Colin
