Spray easy timer

There is nothing in the instructions on how to start the clock ticking

Someone please correct me if i am wrong, but my understanding it you use the start time of the race, that is why it makes you validate that your clock is set correctly.

I think you have to know what time each your races started according to the clock on your computer in order to use this.

Hi

We currently send our race officers out with blank race sheets requiring the ROs to fill in the sail numbers, number of lap, finish times or codes. Occassional boats are scored DNS or DNC because the RO has not seen them. Is there a way to provide the ROs with a competitor list that just has the sail numbers on to provide a starting point for the RO’s?

I can print off a competitor list but this has alot of information the ROs do not need!

Thanks

Issy

Just deselect the things you don’t want from the publishing menu before you print.

Before publishing the competitor list, go to Columns on the main screen and set columns not required to Publish / No (either by right click - hide when publishing or Edit button). However, remember to reset to Publish / Yes when you publish results!

When you publish such a Competitor list, you can add Extra Columns (e.g. Lap 1, Lap 2, Finish, Finish Time) to enable it to be used as a recording sheet. Add spaces to column names to make columns wider where required.

Yes, Matt, you are correct. EasyTimer timings are based on the clock on the computer and that is why it asks you to synchronise the clock when you first start EasyTimer. This does mean that you need to ensure you know the start times of the race, so that you can set this in Sailwave after you have imported the EasyTimer results. Many clubs publish exact start times for each fleet and use a normal clock to time the races, rather than a stopwatch. If you have general recalls or postponements, be sure to note down the new start time. EasyTimer version 3 is currently under development and will allow you to enter the start times for each fleet.

There are many exciting changes coming in version 3, so keep an eye out for it.
