Hello Everyone. I'm new to Sailwave and am trying to determine if it's right for our clubs needs. I've downloaded it, reviewed the basics and even set up a race from last year. Results matched and everything looked good.
If we have a PHRF TOD race planned and want to do progressive or staggered starts (boats starting at a time based on their PHRF rating), once you've entered the competitors, race info, etc, how do you get an output of starting times?
It sounds like you are wanting to set up a Pursuit Race?
Unfortunately, setting up something like this is not in Sailwave’s repertoir.
You have to specify how long you want to make the race for the slowest boat, then calculate elapsed times for other boat types, via corrected times.
Someone on this SUG setup a very clever excel spreadsheet which aids the setup of such a race, for RYA ratings and `British’ boats - attached, if attachments are allowed thru’ currently. It may not be ideal for your use, but it should be a guideline for your PHRF event.

Likewise, I have a comprehensive spreadhseet for pursuit race start times with all UK classes on, very similar to the one already offered. People are welcome to email me if they need such a thing.
