Start / Finish Time

Hi-
Just found this fanastic program
and plan to use it for the Miami - Bimini Race 27 June

Just getting acquainted with the program, however haven't
figured out how to show start/ finish time for an overnight
race. (Start time 2000 Friday night with finish following morning.

Any help appreaciated.
Thanks, John Retkowski

Hi John,

We had this problem but overcame it by assuming the start time was 00.01
that way they order they finnish in will be correct as they will all have
started at the same time

Hi Paul,

We had this problem but overcame it by assuming the start time was 00.01

that way they order they finnish in will be correct as they will all have
started at the same time<

I've just done a tweak to fix this, but it only works across one midnight
boundary; i.e. if start time is later than finish time then elapsed time =
midnight - start time + finish time.

I plan to (very soon) allow start times and finish times to include a date
(e.g. 30/6/02@12:30:00) and correspondingly allow elapsed times to include a
days specifier (e.g. 03:11:04:34).

The only problem is the EU/USA conflict between dd/mm and mm/dd. I suppose
it'll have to be a checkbox in the series somewhere. Can't look at Windows
setting because the series is not portable then...

Regards,
Colin

You should be able to. You either store in the file the locale used
to create the series or always store the series as dd/mm and treat the
display of it as a display issue only and convert dd/mm to the appropriate
locale.

Hi John, thanks, yes there are lots of solutions aren't there; I didn't
think it through last night... CJ.
