Our problem is that we have 4 fleets that are run in 5 minute rolling
starts. The timer is started with the first fleet. When each boat
finishes it's elapsed time is recorded. A boat in the second fleet,
it's elapsed time is 5 minutes less than the what was recorded. In
our old software this was called the start time offset and was
assigned by fleet. I seem to remember that there was a simular
feature here, I just can't remember where. If not, is there a work
around?
Thanks

Hi Tony,
When entering the results using the SailNo wizard use start/finish times,
not elapsed times. Set up a start time of 0 for the first fleet, a start
time of 5mins for the second fleet etc. Then when entering finishes enter
the elapsed time as the finish time. Sailwave will auto populate all the
start times correctly.

Colin

... and if you are going to use start/finish times, why not use time-of-day, rather than stopwatch time - makes it much easier to deal with general recalls and postponements, and there is less worry about losing "the" stopwatch. (last race I ran, we timed directly from GPS - no watches involved!)
Another suggestion - around here, we often have multiple starts at 6 minute intervals, not 5. This makes it easier for the competitors, as there should be no flags (other than recalls) showing right after the start, and is also easier on the flag-wavers, as only one flag moves at a time.
