Summary of Emails by Subject

Just found the Edit Email button in Outlook so that I can add my own notes
(Doh!).

Before I start editing the subject box so that I can file emails by some
logical order, is there anywhere(one) that is already doing this?
I know that there are FAQ's on the web site but there is also lots of good
stuff coming through SUG which I would like to save for future reference

Regards
Ralph Tingle

Hi Ralph, the on-line version of the SUG itself can be sorted by thread...

Thanks Colin but not sure if this covers everything.

Your suggestion is fine if everyone uses the same single thread/title for
each subject.
As you have mentioned before, we don't have any 'rules' for titles to make
this easy.
How many threads have been created for a single subject of say scoring by
fleet??

Also, new users quite rightly come on to SUG & use it as intended - bash off
an email for their problem with their own title

Yahoo tells me that there are 3800+ email in the system which is probably
quite a lot of duplications!!

One day when we have all retired, someone will get bored with life & produce
a structured summary for easy, general access

Regards
Ralph

Hi Ralph,

...I'm also in the process of actually writing a help file  Not much in it yet, just been working on structure, but it will be available in various formats; here's two of them with what's in the help file so far (v little):-

http://www.sailwave.com/stuff/sailwave.chm - HTML help
http://www.sailwave.com/stuff/sailwave.pdf - Adobe Acrobat
