Thanks for the help. If I understand what you did - you had one file for day 1 then copied that info with results into day 2 and reassigned the fleets and then dumped that into day 3 and so on.
Given that line of thinking then would you suggest that we have a separate file for Radials who will not be using the same scoring scenario but will also be on the laser course? In other words, I was trying to put everyone who was racing in the file but from your example separate files for each class might be a better approach.
Yes and no. I did make copies for each day, just in case. If you have done the first part of the series and is going to make big changes (eg changing “fleets”) then I usually use “save as” and the new file is in use immideatly. I do all the changes, but if somethings go wrong I can start over again without having to put in all the data for the first part. - very handy because there is no function called undo…
When the second part was done and was going to select the finalists i just scored all as one fleet. Changed Fleet to Gold and made the bottom half Silver. Then I suggest making three copies Final, Consolation and Silver and made neccesary changes in these files…
Hope it´s clear enough - Don’t hesitate to ask, we are all out there for you.

In one of Leslies’ emails 17th Jan he has identified that they will be re-assigning flights in line with AddC
Have you been using the correct process for re-assigning fleets.
You wording suggests that you may be making ‘manual’ adjustments which could cause the AddC processes in SW not to work.
I think Colin is suggesting that we all hold fire until he has completed his notes & amendments to the program to meet the new requirements of tiebreaking
Leslie
It looks confusing but lots of us have suffered with having to re-enter results due to a problem (not necessarily due to SW)
As Anders has identified, it is good sense to save backups, but the different files are also a good way of showing other users how a series progresses, which is why he sent all the different files
