I was using SW 2.03 b5 to score a series (importing from a csv file), but experienced frequent crashes.
I reverted to 2.02b5, all went fine.
I realise 2.03 is still in development, so I’m not complaining.
With the crash, a pop up window came up with info and a button `Invoke Debugger’ - I clicked there, nothing happened. Does info get stored anywhere?
My OS is Win XP SP3. I got this info with a crash:

Hi Malcom,
We did use one of the new builds for scoring at Sail for Gold event recently although it was not b5, I doubt if Colin changed anything with the csv import in these new builds. Colin supplied us with a new build with some special mods for the Sail for Gold (b14). Stability wise the new build didn’t give me/us any problems, although we didn’t use the csv import (Input from the tracking was done using my SWGP program). I do have some issues with the 2.03 builds at the moment though:-
- Compatibility with Wine to run on Linux or Mac (see earlier Thread)
- SailNo Wizard flickers making it distracting and a bit slower to enter results (This doesn’t seem to happen on every machine although my XP Laptop is affected which works fine with 2.02 builds
- Used a new build at an event 10 days ago and two competitors scored RDGb worked originally and then would not. Tracked to it down to an invalid line in the .blw created by sailwave but whether this is an issue with the new build or whether it would have occurred in 2.02 I can’t say.
Regards
Jon

The import from csv worked OK. Crashes occurred when I was doing general editing on the results.

Ah - I am not alone!
Welcome to my club.
I presume Access Violation would be due to the programme trying to write data into (protected) programme space, for some strange reason?
