I am having a look at the Personal Handicap programme - I downloaded the zip from the web site and the demo pursuit file loads fine
Any of my files don;t load - I tried copying them into the same dir as the pursuit example , but still all I see is a Excel spread sheet with some content, but no race details.
Any ideas ?

I attached the example file which won’t load properly (I should have mentioned that !)
If you delete the 3 competitors that don’t have times and add a
new race, it works.

I tried your file and it seems to work for me
I took your file and went File - Template File and set it to PursuitTemplateFull, set the race to 1 and then clicked the To Excel
This is what I got
Perhaps you could let me know what you get
