Team Ranking Plug in

Hi Colin,

[1] Your Team Ranking Publishing Plug In is v. useful - we use it for
scoring our Interschools. However it does not respect different fleets.
How can we separate the results into different fleets or must we have
separate .blw files for each fleet? Also can we use a formula to score
missing competitors (similar to setting scoring codes e.g. number of
competitors in the fleet + 1)?

[2] Could a similar thing re fleet separation be included for
determining prize winners. Criteria that defines eligible winners for
example Fleet='Laser', Class='Girl' and Position ='2' to find the prize
winner for the 2nd placed girl in the Laser fleet would be helpful. It
is simple enough to do by hand but if you are running a multi class
event and want to get results up on the board showing potential prizes
winners as one progresses through the regatta (the winners will change)
it will be quick & easy if Sailwave can select them for you.

Thanks,
Rob

HI Folks,

I'm very new to using sailwave and have just been asked to look into the
best option for our town regatta. I have one main question.... Id there any
practical size limit for sailwave? Our regatta will have IRO 180 boats in 26
classes racing twice a day for 5 days.

I have found nothing in my 'playing' with the program to indicate that this
would be a problem but would like to check.... ;o)

We will be running 3 committee boats and was planning to have 1 person
ashore working with each one, would they all be able to edit a single
sailwave file at the same time (I doubt that very much) or would we be
better using aseperate file for each committee boat and publishing from
there (or merging files for publication, maybe)?

Thanks in advance.

Keith

Hi Rob - both your items will be covered by the work I'll be ding after
scoring our the start stuff. Essentially the ability to say score 'like
this' rather then by fleet, where 'like this' refers to a column to
differentiate what is not called fleets. As part of this work, lots more
fields will be added like team, sex, age-group, flight, group, etc etc - to
facilitate scoring in many many ways.

Regards,
Colin
