Having just registered with Skype, I have found that there really is something in the world that is
totally free & does not bombard you with obtrusive advertising.
The ability to make telephone (VOIP) calls to anywhere in the world for nothing is rather good
The free bit is not strictly correct as you need to buy a headset & microphone (at a cost of a few
beers!) if you computer does not have in-built facilities, but contacting other Skype users does not
cost a penny after that!!
Whilst dealing with Kristen's problem at the Grade I regatta in Sydney, it strikes me that being
able to telephone someone & talk through the problem is even better than SUG
