Having just started this, I hope that this is not a stupid question,
but why is there no option to resolve draws in race results by going
to fractions of seconds. Race Officers using a calculator will always
add more decimal places to resolve this.
The (practical) answer is 'how accurate is your race timing?' Is it 'fair' to separate competitors finishing within the realistic margin of error? Hence no requirement for fractions of seconds

Do the following.
1. If you are running one-design racing and two boats finish, and the
timer gives them the same time, but the were not called as a dead heat by
the line caller score them one second apart.
2. If you are running a handicap race and two boats with the same
handicap finish, and the timer gives them the same time, but the were not
called as a dead heat by the line caller score them one second apart.
3. If you are running a handicap race and two boats with different
handicaps correct out as a tie, leave the tie.
