Ties

In each race I want to allow multiple 1st, 2nd, 3rds, etc. With each getting the points for that place. Each first place gets one point, each second place gets 2 points, etc.

I have my scoring system to that point that each first place gets one point, but the second place gets 3 points not 2, and third place gets 5 points not 3.

What am I doing wrong.

Scored: you can see here that the first places got 1 point each, but the second places got 3 each, I want them to get 2 each

Hi Peter

I haven`t tryed it but, maybe you should set up a "Custom low point defined by a list of points" instead of "ISAF standart low point"

Jim,

Just tried what you suggested putting in custom list of 1,2,3,4. I scored and rescored with no change in points …

Thanks for trying, any other ideas?

Hi Guys

Go to User Interface & select split starts allowing multiple…

Then when you click on scoring system, the multiple 1sts option will now be available in the Race Scoring tab of the Scoring system options

Have a look at the other advanced options in User Interface as there may be other elements which could help you

Appendix LE Addendum C covers scoring of qualification & finals series racing which uses multiple 1sts, 2nds etc

Regards

Ralph

How do you save a scoring system so that it can be recalled and used on other events? I cant see where this can be done?

Thanks

Peter Dube’

Save the series using a new name, clear results, add/edit/remove races/series properties etc… Simplez

Variant: don’t open the existing regatta, vut File > New series using existing series as template will generate a copy, then save as…

If competitirs use to be the same in all regattas, don’t clear the competitors. Jus add new ones, and exclude those who don’t compete (on EditCompetitor form, tick “exclude in top left box”).

Before editing the competitors list, display the Exclude field Display > Columns > select Exclude > Edit > tick ‘view column on screen’ and [OK] > [OK] and display > display excluded competitors, so you can edit this field to include competitors excluded from the previous series.

At the end of a season, you get a nice database of all competitors in the area!
