Tiger trophy and PY problem

We imported competitors successfully from Excel into latest version
of SW. Then we added the extra competitors who signed on on the day.

We were not using standard PY values so I created a duplicate
ratings table that we altered to show the correct PY's which Sw
correctly found (Global options files etc)

However changes were not being correctly picked up from this file.

In addition when we tried to score only a handful of the 200
entrants actually came out with a PY in the ratings column which
presumably meant that the others had been calculated without
reference to any PY.

Ended up having to abandon latest version and go back to 1.57 which
seemed to work - although we lost the ability to do other things
that then had to be pulled out by hand.

What was I doing wrong?

Also in latest version I was trying to set all competitors with a
class of x to the rating of y but this was proving unreliable.

On a different tack, how do I determine where the pop up boxes
appear on the screen as they all appear with the OK button off the
bottom of the screen so I have to drag every input box - only some
respond to the return key.

Hi Laura,

I'm not sure. But if you update a rating file and then want everybody's
rating to be updated accordingly you need to tick the box in the scoring
system that says somehting like "update ratings before scoring" - this then
allows you to score using various rating systems. It's ugly and in great
need of enhancement...

On a different tack, how do I determine where the pop up boxes

appear on the screen as they all appear with the OK button off the
bottom of the screen so I have to drag every input box - only some

Once you have dragged a window to where you want it it should open in the
same place, unless it's off the screen at the top in which case it'll open
at 0,0. What size screen are you using; it sounds very small... You
probably need at least 800x600 to work comfortably...

Colin
