Tornado Class Scoring

Hi Colin,

After more careful consideration and your previous responses, it seems
like the most appropriate action for us would be to use CSV files for importing
into SailWave (as per your suggestion).
For exporting, it would be really nice to have an exporting option that
would allow for publishing results to a CSV or XML file. I notice on the SailWave Wish List you
have the XML file exporting yourself.
Echo that. I’ll be watching
for the XML option when it comes along.
In the mean time we’ll set up to use the importing CSV and the pasting
series summary to clipboard in CSV format then saving as a CSV file.

In terms of uploading files directly to our site, I think it will be
best for us to leave that option up to our event organizers once they are
equipped with a finished CSV or XML file.
This leaves us more open for future developments, keeps us from having
to provide FTP access to too many users, and means one less task that we might
ask for your help on.

Keep up the great work.

Regards,

Noah Purves-Smith

Hi Noah,

Apologies for being so quiet, if you’ve been following the SUG you’ll see I’m trying to get a load of stuff out of the way…

Just FYI, the latest Sailwave beta uploaded to the web site can publish directly to a web site using FTP, seems to work OK.

Regards,

Colin
