I have been working on setting up a series on my home computer and tried to send the series to the club member responsible for entering the results by email attachment.
Sailwave will not open the series after downloading the attachment (I am using Win 7 and Firefox 46.0.1)
As a new user (with an old brain) I am getting to grips with the programme so sorry if this is a simple problem.

Sorry to hear you are having a problem moving the Sailwave.BLW from
on system yo another by email. I have not come across this before. I
am usually sending or receiving a Sailwave.BLW file at least once a
week by email. However, I use a normal desktop client like Outlook,
WIndows Mail or in my case Thunderbird.
It would be helpful as well if you could describe in more detail the
steps being used in both sending & receiving of the email with a
Sailwave.BLW attached.
So if you want we can try and experiment. You send me the file via
email and I will use my webmail access to my emails from Firefox to
download. I will also get access to the email using Thunderbird my
desktop client.

Some email software interprets an attached .blw file as text and
puts it into the email as such. This seems to be somewhat random,
sometimes it works and sometimes not. The solution is to zip up
the Sailwave .blw file and attach the zip file to your email.
