Two handicaps per entry

It has been suggested at my club that there might be two sets of
results per race, one the normal PY handicap results and then,
secondly, a personalised handicap results, ie you may actually be 5th
on PY but 1st on Personal. Obviously this goes through to a series result.

Does anyone know whether this can be accomplished on Sailwave using
one set of data?

Simon,

Pretty sure it cannot be accommodated in Sailwave at present.

Question for you - How are you planning to calculate PH?

Kind regards,

Hi Simon

I would probably:

  • Create a series file with normal PYs

  • Copy the file & change the PYs to PH

  • Enter your normal race results (once) into a spreadsheet & save as .csv

  • Import the race results (.csv file) into both SW files

The above assumes that your PH system is based on the PY method where you multiply by 1000 & divide the number

Hi Huw, how we calculate the PH is a bit of a mystery to me but go
checkout this page from the Burghfeild web site...

Ian Bullock our results IT guru is a SUG member, maybe you can jump in
Ian?
