The RYA is keen to get clubs to try the RYA return
facility. All you need is your RYA “ClubID” and some results. Also
read the relevant section in the Sailwave help file.
Phone RYA technical on: 0845 345 0383 to get your Club ID.
The RYA might be 'keen', but I've just 'phoned them and been told that
the software at there end isn't ready yet
However I could 'declare an interest' in using the system in 2009 (to
save having to do the annual PY return) and they will be sending out
registration forms to interested clubs in about one month....
So it's back to the spreadsheets, then :~

Mike, Sorry about that, I must have
misinterpreted a recent email from the RYA about making
announcements. I’ll change my request to can those interested,
register interest with RYA technical.
I'm very new here, only started using sailwave this week and tried to
upload our clubs handicap race series data (Draycote) to the RYA
using the send results plugin and all I can get after logging on is
an error message on the RYA website as below:
To clarify and manager expectations over the online PY project :
Currently you can submit data, many have of you have already
uploaded real results and this is very useful, thanks.
You can also register your club and set-up an account in preparation
of the next stage
The post processing of results and calculations of adjustments is
being tested and evolved, a few clubs are involved in this activity.
This will roll out over the forthcoming weeks, with a full launch
2009, probably at the Dinghy Show

Hi Chris, I think so. I suspect it’ll all kick in
next season - in the meantime you can use it and send results back with
a “test” id so they are ignored. Drop an email to Bas registering
interest and he’ll send you out a registration form at the end of
November. The guy who is in control of ‘the other end’ has just joined
the SIUG so hopefull he’ll be around to give support and advice when
needed as well…
