Update of US Portsmouth Numbers into Ratings File

I have a ratings file of US Portsmouth Numbers that I limit to only
those classes of boats that sail in my area. I just updated the Excel
.csv file with the new ratings values. After opening Sailwave I can
not find the command to update the ratings for the competitors (I seem
to recall that there was a command in one of the menus in an earlier
version of Sailwave). Additionally, if I enter a new competitor,
after selecting the class of boat, the ratings that subsequently pop
up are the old values.

Under "Global Options+Folders+My rating files", I do have the path to
the folder in which the rating file is located.

How do I get Sailwave to recognize & use the updated ratings?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Open your series. Under “Setup > Scoring System > Rating System” select the “USSA Portsmouth” buttons. You will notice in the lower right a check box which selects “Set competitor rating from rating file before scoring”.

Thanks, Gil. That works if I create a new file. However, if I add a
new competitor to an existing "default" file that serves as the basis
for each week's racing, it still pulls up the old ratings values. Am
I stuck just creating a new master "default" file?

Open your series. Under "Setup > Scoring System > Rating System"

select the "USSA Portsmouth" buttons. You will notice in the lower
right a check box which selects "Set competitor rating from rating
file before scoring".

Make an addendum with only the new competitor.
Sailwave will search all rating files in the ratings folder and find the new one.
If you are using the new file sailwave will use the first rating found for one boat, you are never sure it's the right one...

I assume you have a master file which you copy each weekend to build your race file. I find if my uspn.csv file will copy in if I score the master file containing just the default race. BUT if there are any other .csv files with “USPN” records you will get a scrambled result.
