Upload error

I've just downloaded latest SW software on to a brand new PC. When I try to upload the competitor list to SW website I get 'connected' pop up but then it hangs. No problem using the same file on other machines.

Any ideas?

Hi Will & Neil,

I have just successfully uploaded a file to Sailwave results area

from here in Weymouth at ISAF Sailing World Cup. Jon is here as
well. Please could you both give some more information - Sailwave
version, operating system.

My successful upload was using my Netbook running Sailwave v2-19-0

using WINE (v1-6-2) on Linux Mint 17.1 “Rebecca” which is fully up
to date with official updates.

Kind regards,
Huw

Looks like my linux and wine updates are out of sync. The updater is broken. I will get that fixed and then see.

Thanks.

Hi Will,

Thanks for the information.

The Sailwave.BLW file is not the problem as it does not store any

ftp details. For Sailwave web site information is hard coded into
the executable.

Question - The system that was having the upload problems, was it on

different network/location to the ones that were successful?

Kind regards,
Huw

It was on my home network so nothing out of the ordinary. The pc is at the club now so I’ll see if it works there. Next step firewall settings I guess!

Thanks

Will & Neil,

Something to look at regarding FTP settings. Look at the FTP global

settings on the two systems and check they are the same.

I re-installed my WINE environment today trying to solve another

problem and I had to check the box at the bottom of the Global
OptionsFTP tab - “Use passive transfers…”.

Kind regards,
Huw
