Upload to RYA -missing config data

I am trying to get Sailwave set up to upload to RYA. I get an error message 'Missing config data for .....'
Nothing is missing, but I can't progress beyond this point. Can't close the pop up panel or accept with 'ok'. Seem to be stick and only way out is to close down computer and lose all config data. Done this twice.
I'm assuming I am doing something wrong and there is a simple solution.
2 Secondary points.
1. Is there a way to maintain a master file for this data that SW will select from, to save having to input it for each series.
2. Is there a way to select which fleets are input to the RYA. Our series have multiple fleets including IRC and one designs. I only want to submit the PY ones.

Mike Swingler, Flushing Sailing Club.

Mike,

If you only want to upload PY fleets I suggest you take a copy of the
file and then delete from the copy file all except PY fleets and
upload.

I am willing to have a look at your file if you wish as well. I have
been doing some work with RYA in background on this facility.

Kind regards,

Huw

Thanks for your offer, the file is attached. I have had to do the CONFIGURATION several times, as SW kept losing it when I tried to do the upload. Somehow you need to save everything before trying to do the upload. I have only been testing so far as our registration with the RYA seems to have become lost. (I have submitted a re-registration yesterday). The boat file is much smaller than it will be later in the season. The only way I know to delete boats of other classes from the file is one at a time, so I have deleted the classes instead so I only do it once. A further point is there is no standard CLASS title for many of these boats, so I can't imagine how the RYA consolidates them into analysis. Maybe the Byron list should be used for titles.

Have now had i/d from RYA and got the upload to work. I had to delete all non PY fleets by hand. Am now discovering various issues with the way PYS works, and maybe I am the first club trying to use it for cruisers.

Mike,

From what I know you are one of the first if not the first. Uploading non-PYS fleets is an issue I have as well as the club use SCHRS (Small Cat Handicap Rating System) rating system for multi-hull racing.

I have asked Colin if he could enhance the interface so that like when publishing you can choose which fleets you want publisged.

If you have anymore questions I am willing to try and assist.

Kind regards,
Huw

Mike, you most certainly arnt the first to use it for cruisers.

I have been putting Thornbury SC results including Fast & Slow handicap dinghies plus cruisers onto the system for all of last year.

There are plenty of quirks most of which were answered by Chris. The only real issue I’ve noted with cruisers is that you need to be careful that you have the configurations labelled correctly not only for the particular boat but also consistently from race to race. At one point I ended up with the same boat in for about 4 or 5 races with different recommeded handicaps from each race due to mitakes.

If you need any help, I can try or defer to Chris, he is the PYS Jedi!!!
