I'm having trouble uploading race data to the RYA this week. I have been able to publish to our club website so its not my internet connection, which leads me to believe it may be an issue at RYA's end. I just get a cannot connect to RYA message box.
Anyone else having any problems with it.

p.s. if there is anyone out there who isnt currently uploading their race data to the RYA that would like to be, please let me know. It is in all of our interests to encourage as many clubs/people to do this as the more real race information they get the better all of our PN's will be.

I have tried to use it for our racing which is all cruisers/keelboats and it just doesn't work well enough. I raised the issues with the RYA and the guy who programmes it some time ago and have had no response, so have given up. It seems to be only suitable for dinghies.

I haven't uploaded any of our data yet, does everyone do this as each series ends, or keep it all until the end of the season?

I would recommend you do weekly! It will be a lot easier to sort
out.

Likewise Tony, I would recommend doing it a lot more regularly. I do mine after each race! The system isnt the easiest to use, but once you get passed the quirks it is relatively quick. However, if you waited and left it to the end of the season it would probably take a long time!
Have you tried it at all yet Tony?
Stick with it, and if you have any problems let me know and I'll see if I can help.
I would recommend you do weekly! It will be a lot easier to sort out.

Apparently there has been an issue with the server at RYA end and so uploads are currently not working. It is in the process of being fixed though so should be back up and running soon.

Especially those who make use of the RYA Portsmouth Yardstick web
site; I have been in conversation with the organisation (not the
RYA) who maintain the website and they apologise for the problems
being experienced.
There was a problem with the server hosting the PYS website and the
server has had to be relocated and rebuilt. The rebuilding has
caused some of the settings not to work. The problems are being
worked and will be resolved as quickly as possible.
I will try and remember to update the SUG when the issues are fully
