something i want to change is the user interface structure -
currently when you open a series you get plonked into what is essentially a competitor/race editor - this means that after you've setup your competitors/races most of the menus are just noise.
it also means that other views of the series are tricky in incorporate.
the idea is to move *all* setup to one new setup menu (so there would be setup competitors, setup races, setup scoring, setup properties etc) *and* have more views of the series including graphical ones.
when you opened a series you would see the default/last view of it and if you wanted to edit the competitor list for example you'd hit setup+competitors (there would also be a toolbar button for it) to add/edit competitors. It also means that individual setup windows like setup+competitors can be more complex without compromising the standard menus which would essentially be the file menu and the tool menu.
Having said that there is no reason why the views cannot have right-click capabilities etc to edit competitors/races as well - it's just that if you want the fully monty you go into competitor setup.
The default view would look like it does now.
The setup=races window can be better since it can have races across the top and race fields down the left, moving towards edit in place etc.
